My number one passion in life has always been animals. From owning our own family petshop to working at Taronga Zoo, I couldn't not become an animal lover with parents like mine!
After studying Zoology I was fortunate enough to travel the world and worked at Zoos, Animal Rescue and Rehab Centres and Wildlife Tour companies in Australia, Canada, Africa and South America. Family and the beauty of the Marlborough Sounds always drew me back though and I decided to settle in Picton, guiding and managing a wildlife/dolphin tour company and starting Conservation Kids NZ, a charitable trust that teaches children about NZ wildlife and conservation.
Keen for a new challenge, I later studied Veterinary Nursing via correspondence. These days I thoroughly enjoy working with domestic animals at the Springlands Veterinary Centre and being Coordinator for Envirohub Marlborough.
I share my animal mad lifestyle with my wonderful (also animal mad) hubby, 6 and 1 year old sons, 2 dogs, 4 cats and whatever rescue cases we have at the time! ;)
